Terri’s path from a hospital science professional to a holistic coach is one of deep introspection, spiritual exploration, and a commitment to personal growth. At 26, feeling a profound sense of dissatisfaction in her scientific career, Terri began searching for a deeper sense of purpose. This quest led her to immerse herself in contemplative practices, meditation, and eventually, the disciplined life of a monastery. Over the course of more than two decades, she honed her inner peace, compassion, and an intimate understanding of the human experience, transforming from within.
The sudden loss of her brother marked a pivotal moment in Terri’s life, bringing with it immense grief and new responsibilities. In navigating this, she turned to her spiritual practices, drawing on her inner strength and wisdom to guide her through the darkest times. This experience deepened her commitment to helping others find balance and healing in their own lives.
Terri’s desire to assist others in their personal journeys motivated her to pursue extensive training in various healing modalities. The realization that her own beliefs and thinking needed transformation led her to Breathwork. At a transformative retreat, she discovered the power of breathwork in shifting her mindset and decided to train as a Heart Centered Breathwork Practitioner. This training, combined with her earlier studies in Spiritual Direction, equipped her to guide others through their own transformative processes.
Further driven by a passion to empower others, Terri became a certified Rapid Transformational Therapist, learning techniques that help clients overcome limiting beliefs and embrace their true potential. Additionally, her training as a Reiki Master Teacher allows her to offer energy healing, aligning with her holistic approach to well-being.
Terri’s diverse skills and experiences, coupled with her deep empathy and spiritual insight, form the foundation of Breathe Anew Coaching. She is dedicated to being a compassionate companion on her clients’ journeys, helping them explore new paradigms, discover inner wisdom, and live a more expansive, fulfilling life.
Anthea Enterkin’s journey to becoming a breathwork practitioner and coach is a testament to resilience, personal growth, and the transformative power of breath. Now 67 and happily living in Geelong with her life partner and three pets, Anthea’s life has been shaped by profound challenges and the determination to rise above them. After completing high school and three years of university, Anthea navigated various jobs around Melbourne, but her path took a difficult turn when she fell into a 27-year addiction to
heroin, leading to six years in prison during the 1990s. However, Anthea’s story is one of redemption and renewal. Breathwork became a crucial tool in her recovery, empowering her to reconnect with her inner strength and return home to care for her parents, who were suffering from Parkinson’s disease and dementia. For ten years, she provided compassionate support, helping her mother navigate the emotional and physical toll of losing her husband to memory loss. This experience deepened their bond, healing past wounds and creating a new future together.
The sudden loss of her mother to pancreatic cancer was another turning point for Anthea. It was a shock, but also a catalyst for further reinvention. Drawing on her past experiences, and the strength and wisdom she had gained Anthea channelled her resilience into personal growth.
Throughout her journey, breathwork remained a cornerstone of Anthea’s transformation. Her passion for this modality led her to study under an internationally known breathwork facilitator and coach for six years, eventually becoming a qualified breathwork practitioner. Breathwork not only helped Anthea discover who she truly is but also became a way for her to help others find their purpose and passion.
As a mentor to many young people, Anthea has guided others through struggles with drugs, anxiety, anger, self-harm, and low self-worth. Her ability to connect with those in need and her dedication to teaching breathwork and personal development have made a lasting impact on her community. For the past four years, she has taught breathwork at a local community centre, sharing the practices that helped her find peace with her past and embrace her future.
At Breathe Anew Coaching, Anthea brings her rich life experiences, deep empathy, and expertise in breathwork to support clients on their own journeys of self-discovery and healing. She is committed to helping others transform their lives, just as she has transformed her own.
